It’s fall, and it’s time for one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving. My whole family gathers at my grandma’s house for a big feast. While Granny and some of the adults cook, the kids go and play games. The cool breeze outside makes the games a lot more fun. We enjoy playing baseball, or hide-and-seek. When we play hide and seek, my cousin and I always hide in my grandpa’s barn. There are many small places that we can crawl into, and no one can ever find us.
When we eat, we eat ham, turkey, potatoes, cornbread, and many other things. Grandma’s cooking tastes like dog food. My grandpa always says the blessing on Thanksgiving. It is really noisy from all the people. The noise is like a stampede of elephants running from a pack of lions. For desert we eat delicious pie, ice cream, and cake. At about 9:00 pm, everyone leaves, and my grandma and I always have to clean up. We fall asleep really early because we are so tired from the long day we had. It is a really fun day.
